I just got this from Emergence Marketing, who got it from Blog CEO, who got it from... (oh, the wonders of news spreading in the blogosphere)
"According to Onestat, only 11.4% of all search queries are one-word phrases. 3 and 4 word phrases make up more than 50% of all queries"
This is very interesting. We currently seem to think singularly about keywording, it's time to think in phrases.

No doubt ... you can't compete with a single keyword. Phrases are the only way to get any notice, also the only way to keep AdWords prices reasonable. You have to niche down.

As an SEO consultant, I almost never recommend spending time (organic SEO) or money (pay-per-click advertising) on single keywords. They're usually too vague and/or prohibitively competitive. Targeting a single keyword might make sense if it's your company name or product name - assuming the name is unique.

Fantastic Blog!

Your website brings you less profit than it did before? So may be there is a reason to update it. But saying
update the website doesn’t mean a couple of news to the main page. It means complete redesign or even making
new design for the website. And in case you need such web design in Ireland this is the right place to visit.
I am a freelance web designer with considerable skills in the area of website creation. The services I can
offer are quite competitive in comparison to those provided by the huge web design Ireland agencies.
However one of the main advantages is the price that is quite lower than those offered by web design
agencies. www.internetsolutionsireland.com
